Hi, my name is Rebekah! I enjoy empowering young people to embrace their voice, be creative, and ask questions. My resume features a wide range of childcare experience (including a role as a nanny for the last year) but for now I’d like to share some of the philosophy and values I hold when it comes to caring for children! It is important to me that each child feels welcome to share their thoughts and emotions in each situation. My hope is that each child leaving an interaction with me feels heard and valued. I speak English, Spanish, and am working on Arabic and Urdu. I enjoy accompanying children on the journey of embracing differences across cultures! About me: I grew up in small town Wisconsin and moved to Houston for a volunteer program. For a year, I was living in solidarity with my neighbors and serving as a reading interventionist in both English and Spanish. Fast forward a few years later and I am still living in the city I love! I am studying Political Science but in my free time I enjoy exploring the city, hearing new music, and meeting new people! I look forward to continuing this conversation with you!
