Hi there! Thanks for reading my information. My name is Melody. I am a licensed teacher in River Falls, WI. I began my career in education as a Director of Christian Education/Youth Minister/Children's Minister. As a DCE I was able to work with children from birth-college aged. It was such a great experience. I learned so much about what each stage in life is like. When my daughter started kindergarten in 2010, I decided to renew my teaching license and began substitute teaching in various districts in Western Wisconsin. Last year I had my own 4K class and fell in LOVE with teaching children that age. As a substitute teacher, I can't decide which grade level I love teaching the most. They all have their pros. There are several things about me that would make me a GREAT choice for taking care of your children. 1) I am a Mom Read more myself. My daughter is 9 and is in 4th grade. I know how hard it is to leave your children in the care of someone else, but I also know what a blessing it is--to the parents and to the children--to have a wonderful caretaker in their lives. 2) I am patient. Being a Mom and a teacher has taught me all about patience. 3) Your child would be cared for by a licensed teacher. That means we would be doing fun, educational activities together! Learning is FUN!! 4) I LOVE children! I got a "late start" in life (I was two months shy of 38 when I had my daughter). Otherwise I would have had more children. 5) I am CPR and First Aid certified. I have a great rapport with children and adults. I am trustworthy, honest, careful and patient. I would treat your children like they were my own.
