I find it so important and I care so much for the healthy development of the young minds and bodies of children. In college I studied psychology with a focus on development. In the past seven years I have been working with children of all age groups in a variety of settings. I have extensive experience as a Nanny and as an educator. During college, I worked on an organic vegetable production farm upstate New York where I ran the kids garden and cooking camp for ages 4-11. We spent time getting our hand dirty in the garden, taking nature trail walks and preparing meals. I would teach them about plants, animals and making food from the vegetables we would grow (I ate a lot of zucchini bread that summer). I also spent my weekends and summers working as a wilderness educator for kids age 5-13 at a program called Read more Wild Earth, where our mission was to provide a healthy environment for exploration and development for children outdoors. I moved to Jackson Hole two years ago and I have fallen in love with the community and wilderness. I currently teach yoga in Jackson Hole and I work at a holistic wellness center, Medicine Wheel Wellness where I teach yoga and practice Thai Yoga Therapy and Ayurveda. I am extremely health oriented, I love to cook for others while sharing my passion for healthy eating and living. I have a calm, nurturing demeanor and have been told that I lead wonderfully by example. I love to travel and I am comfortable on the go. I am looking forward to begin working once again as a career Nanny!
