Animals have always been a part of my life. I have always had a knack for nurturing animals, having been raised in a rural environment in the midwest where we always had pets. I have continually had pets throughout my adult life, most of which I inherited through varying circumstances, and I am blessed to have had the opportunity to share a part of my life with them, as each and every one has enhanced my life in some special way.

Although I have had only cats in recent years because I worked full time and cats are more self-sufficient during the day than dogs, I do love dogs. Before moving to Arizona, I raised a Rough Collie (like Lassie) and three Pomeranians. While growing up, our family had a black Labrador and a German Shepherd, along with all the other critters kids bring home, i.e., cats, rabbits, salamanders, snakes – you name it.

I can usually be available for over-nighters when necessary, and am often available on short notice. Please know that my check-in and visit rate includes spending 1-2 hours with your pet, unless you deem it unnecessary. In addition to feeding and watering your pet or letting your pet out to do its business, and depending on your pet’s age and energy level, I will play with, walk, brush, pet or just sit with your pet during that time interval.
