Diane’s Bio

We are totally animal people. We live in "the big house" on an old farmsted in South Auburn. There's a beautiful old garden that surrounds the deck/house, tree covered and completely fenced. A deck surrounds the house, with views of the local hills and a glimps of Folsom Lake. It's about four min to downtown Auburn and/or Highway 80, off Auburn/Folsom.

I'm am VERY protective of my animals. I make certain they are safe at all times, inside with the air or heat on as needed and spoiled with love and attention. They sleep in our beds, and are our family. YOUR PET(S) will be treated the same way. If you have any special-needs requests, just ask and we'll tailor our care.

We've had a rather difficult year though, in that we lost three of our Seniors. At any rate, they were fabulous friends and had great, great lives. As a result, the Old Guys’ super-duper dog mattresses are left vacant all around the house, and need to be filled! We’re down to two horses, a fabulous bird and two dogs - Murph the Smurph and Darla Jean.

We've sat other people's pets for years, and had many a friend say they want to come back in the next life as one of our pets. It's a good life. We frequently sit our three grandpuppies who are delivered to us from the Bay Area, and there's so much space that nobody gets in anybody else's way. I've devised my different "methods" to maintain the ultimate in care, keep it simple and yet maintain an attractive, clean and comfortable house for humans, too.

A prior "meet and greet" will have to be arranged to ensure everybody's compatible. We’ll then introduce new dogs under careful supervision. Other than a few minutes of the initial, excited barking when they first mingle, we offer a happy and serene experience for your pets.

I suggest you bring anything that'll help your babes remain "like at home" comfortable - crates, blankets, etc. (Toys and bones can be provoking in a pack....) Also, it's a good idea to bring their food so that no upset stomachs occur. We'll make sure everybody eats in a safe, comfortable space and manner.

My husband is a sales exec and I'm a therapist/pet photographer. One of us is home every day. We would welcome the opportunity to share our family and life with you and your pets. I am also available to do visits, walks, transports, etc., for pets and farm animals. Just give a call..... Thanks!
