Hi! My name is Jen and I love animals! Growing up in Northern Wisconsin I had many pets that I was responsible for. Dogs, horses, cats, fish sometimes birds too. I currently have 2 dogs. Yoda is a 9 year old pug and Tyson is a 4 year old lab/rot mix. They're my spoiled babies and I know how hard it is to leave them at kennels or with strangers when going out of town or even long day trips.
My experience working with dogs and cats includes 6 years at a large kennel in Murrieta, CA. I worked my way up to a management position. My duties included: designating jobs to co-workers, cleaning kennels, exercising the dogs, feeding up to 120 dogs, administering medications, and giving injections to dogs and cats that required them, making sure the kennels were always clean and monitoring building temperatures, monitoring group play times with up to 15 dogs in a yard together, answering phones, and checking pets in and out of the kennel. I also did some pet sitting on the side for clients when the kennel was full. I loved this job but my husband's military career took us out of state. While we were in the military I did a lot of pet sitting for fellow military families, mostly at my house. My 2 dogs are well socialized and do well with all dogs. I also worked at a doggie day care in Forestville for 1 1/2 years. There I monitored large groups of dogs together in yards, made sure everyone was getting along, picked up after them and kept the yards clean and safe. I've also done bathing, clipping nails, brushing and some trimming around feet, rear, and face.
