Eric’s Bio
Three family cats while growing up , one was an Angora Persian - cleaning the cat box and feeding them canned food mostly. I am very comfortable with animals and they seem to like me.
Did some babysitting during high school, learned more patience; sometimes animals were included.
House sit for a family for the winter after college : came with two dogs and a cat.
Sat for both of my sisters cats several times each over the years.
Looked after my cousins infant son so she could get out a few times ( my solo experiences with diapers ), and a friends 6yr old son regularly over a few months
As a science teacher for three years (k-5) in New York City, I was responsible for a large freshwater tank of fish, a guinea pig , a snake ( and introduced a worm bin! ); As well as science for k-5 students, three classes a day, field trips ( with parent helpers), and pre-5th grade sleep away camp - always went smoothly ( one time was during the 9/11 attack- all parents thankfully ok); and Lego robotics after school program.
As a monk over the last 11 years, cared for two working dogs Great Pyrenees regularly ( two different sets of two ) , and recently raised ten puppies from birth ( no complications, thankfully!)
(Also fed yaks, llama, chickens, jersey milk cow, and Alpaca in rotation)
I now feed one working, outdoor cat ( and the chicken eats with her !) - The cat is raising three kittens. We are about to get a pig.
I will take good care of your pet ( or child!) . Thank you
