I've volunteered at the humane society in apple valley the summer of '14 and I loved it. Giving attention to animals, dogs mostly who have been abandoned and miss treated at one point in their lives made it that more accepting of the fact that they were at a shelter. My older brother rescued an American Stafford Pitbull, Brindle coat and she had been so malnourished and mistreated she was scared of us and intimidated by us. After about a month, she began to realize we loved her and wouldn't do anything to hurt her. I now have a Pointer & Australian Blue Heeler puppy, who is 6 months old. She is such a character. But very scared of noises Haha, too much going on and she panics but we're breaking her into the outside world slowly. I've also volunteered some time at a few homeless shelter conventions in Barstow and time at my little brothers elementary school as a teachers aid. I have no certificates but I am a animal lover
