Hello, I currently own 3 pets. One of my dogs has a chronic condition that has slowed her down a bit. She is doing well, has quality of life, and most importantly seems alive and happy. In this process, with ups and downs, I have learned so much more about my pet. About her personality, care, decision making, looking for traditional and holistic approaches, and much more. Also, how my other 2 dogs respond when she is not feeling well—lots of love and empathy. We have found a hospice vet who has been incredibly helpful!
Our dogs are truly part of our family. I grew up mostly around dogs and cats. But my mother allowed us to bring birds home when we found them hurt. We let them fly once they recovered. I also had hamsters, a rabbit and a hen.
Overall, my life has always being surrounded by love and fun from pets. It has been delightful!
