Pet Sitting is how my “sitting” career started out. At 10 I simply enjoyed the neighborhood dogs, as most seemed to flock to me, even the ones that weren't supposed to be very nice. I have so much confidence in myself and making animals comfortable with me while their owner is away. I understand pet behavior and how they do miss their people. I am 27 years old now, so I have been doing this job consistently for 17 years. I started out with families that had beagles, labs, husky’s, and cats. As time has gone on I have worked in a pet store, I have owned a variety of animals, and I have become more experienced caring for a variety of animals.
Currently I own 2 cats, and 2 dogs. I have experience in puppy training. I have potty trained my own puppy. In addition she sits, lays, shakes, stands up, and will twirl. She is 1 years old 2 months. Lately she has been learning to “dance”, but is more something she picked up after learning to stand, and twirl, and loves to do this when music is on. I have taught her to behave around children, other dogs, and people. She is able to go on walks “un-leashed”, which we don’t do, but the occasional walk to the neighbors’ house or mail box, I know that she will walk beside me and stop when I stop.
I enjoy animals, all animals, which is why this was my first “job” when I was so little, and now I am thankful that I can continue doing this and building lasting relationships with the pets and their families.
