Kansas was 25 minutes late. Our plan was to do an interview and then a trial run. I had a back up sitter if the interview did not go well. I sent her a text 7min before her arrival and she said she was sorry she was running late and just leaving now.
because she was late i had to leave right away and we didn't even have time to talk for 5 min. Her profile says light cleaning. I would expect that to be the dishes from the kids lunch (2 plates, the pot, strainer and 2 forks). Their routine is lunch, play for a little bit and then nap leaving her nearly 2hrs. Not even their toys were picked up.
Now Kansas did have good reason to be late. She is Active Duty Military but never told us this. So we never would know if she's going to be late, how often (since it's not always in her control or if she can text ahead of time). We also do not know if she has duty or not since that is something often not planned.
**Had this info been in her profile we most likely would not have chosen her for those reasons. She also had stated that the days she listed she was wide open and to call her anytime. we had a planned time and that didnt always work.**
Kansas was our first dive into babysitters outside of the family; so needless to say, a lot was riding on this (for me, mostly). She was easy to talk to and open to answering questions about herself. On the day of, Kansas was on-time and ready for a night with our infant son and 5-year old daughter. She promptly answered texts that were sent. I highly recommend her and will be calling her for another date night in the future. Thank you Kansas!
