Hi there!
My name is Taylor Reyland & I am 21 years old currently attending the University of California Santa Cruz! I am a senior majoring in Education and Sociology. I am originally from Southern California San Diego and spend my summers there. It has been my dream since I was in high school to one day become an elementary school teacher! :)
I am available to petsit any day at anytime in San Diego until September 22nd, when I return to SC my schedule will be updated! :)

I cannot express to any human enough how much I love animals (mostly dogs). Growing up I have had 13 different dogs I can remember. My family has always had at least 2 dogs & up to 4 at one time. We have also had about 5 different cats, 2 chinchillas, & 3 horses. I have always enjoyed spending my time with animals even if it's just sitting down and watching tv with them, or taking them on long walks. No matter what animal you have I will be there for them with love, care, & compassion!! I am a true believer that animals are a humans best friend!

During summer when I am home, I take my chocolate lab on a 4 mile walk everyday. I am very experienced with and willing to take animals out on long walks until they're ready to go back to their homes. I used to be captain of my cross-country team in high school so there are very few dog walking distances which frighten me! :) I always walk dogs with a leash, and don't feel comfortable taking a dog off a leash unless we are in securely closed perimeters where I can easily get to them.

I have trained many of our dogs at home how to walk properly (without pulling on the leash). I have also taught many dogs to sit, lie down, and even catch food items in their mouth (I have a corgi who was not very mouth-eye coordinated). I am comfortable feeding, playing with, and cleaning up after any animal.

I have rescued at least 4 different dogs off the streets and 3 different cats from various places. My latest rescue was a kitten who was 2 weeks old and needed bottle feeding until she was about 4-5 weeks old.

Lastly, I have spent 400+ hours volunteering at an Equine Rescue close to my house where I learned how to feed, groom, and walk horses. I bonded with many of the animals at our facility & still return there every once and awhile.
