Well, as the previous question asked, I have rescued, rehabilitated and re-homed more animals of many varieties over the past 40 years. I started when I was twelve and just never stopped.
I have three dogs of my own but no rescues at the moment as we have just made a cross country move to Castle Rock and I have not seen any stray animals yet. I do always take them to the pound to have the animal checked for a microchip. Thus far I have been able to get the animal back to its rightful owner about 1/2 dozen times that way. Otherwise I just care for them until the right fit comes out way. I do checks on the prospective pet parents and they sign an agreement that if, for whatever the reason, they can no longer care for the animal they must call me for pickup. So far it’s just been pictures of how the new family member is adapting, funny stories and, often, many thanks. As I also mentioned that I am very adept at medicating, vaccinating, attending to wounds etc that saves one quite a bit around here in particular. I can’t believe the cost of having a vet call!!!! I get what is available to the general public from a Tractor Supply or almost any farm store to do this. I’d is about 8-10$ to buy and no cost to administer so a huge savings in this area. I have trained two service dogs. One for just the extras needed for the particular person but the other one from scratch. As soon as they get their vest on they know it’s time to go to work and their entire demeanor changes. LOL.

everything is subject to variation in price, and discussed in advance for a variety of variables. The costs listed below could be more or less depending on a number of variables. I do charge an nadditional .50 cents per mile to pick up and drop off .
