I have always loved animals. Childhood pictures reflect my expression of awe for the beautiful pets I held. I grew-up on a small farm with cats, dogs, horses, pigs, and chickens all lovingly cared for by my mother, and us kids. I, was to be one in a long lineage of animal lovers and caregivers.
Currently, I have 3 rescued cats. I have volunteer experience with a domestic animal sanctuary on a weekly basis and assisted in socializing and rehabilitating the felines. I have been trained for First Aid and CPR with dogs and cats. I am considering attending a Vet Tech program.
My formal education and experience is in clinical social work. I have been educating myself on the behaviors of cats and I have 3 excellent teachers. I have often found my clinical education and experience with people is an asset to matching adopters with pets. I plan to continue working with and learning more about cats and dogs. I am also interested in advocacy for animal rights on the legislative level.
I have experience with horses - behavior, and caring for horses. I rode horseback for many years. I have done trail riding, and shows.
I am just starting to look into pet sitting, so I can continue to do something I love - care for animals.
