I have been in the animal care industry for over 18 years and an avid animal lover for my whole life. I am a single mother of a 6yr old and I own my own home. I am looking to get involved with the pet loving world again. I have worked with animals since I was 15, including jobs at veterinarian hospitals & pet stores, pet-sitting for family/friends, fostering adoptable dogs & cats, and working in an animal shelter for 6 years. I worked for the Shelter Vet also, medicating animals and assisting with surgery (pre-op & post-op), intubation, drawing blood, intravenous/intramuscular injections, exams, grooming, and much more vet tech duties. One of my specialties was working with dogs that have behavioral/aggression issues and rehabilitating them, so they can find their forever home with the right family, as well as training dogs & cats. Currently, I own 1 dog and 5 cats. My dog, Autumn, is a serious ball & frisbee athlete, one of the smartest, most soulful dogs I've ever met.

I'm currently a pastry chef at Water's Edge Resort, where I have been employed for a year and a half. Although, I love my job and my boss (an international chef with 40+ years experience), I feel as if something is missing and would like to return to the pet care field, as I long for a more rewarding career.
