I am 36 years old and grew up on a farm in Oklahoma. For the first 18 years of my life, I raised and took care of horses, cattle, pigs, chickens, dogs, cats, and the occasional pygmy goat. As we were so far out of town, calling a veterinarian was usually not an option, so I learned to birth calves, give animals their shots, and general caregiving. My parents would always "rent" me out to their friends and colleagues so I received a lot of training in reading notes left on feed bins and animal crates. I have a Masters Degree in Public History and work from home while my wife works at UCONN Health, and I am looking for additional income. Because my schedule is so open, I thought something like this would be a great way to help people in the area.
