I have worked with animals in various capacities from Adoption Counselor at The Humane Society to Veterinary Technician in an animal hospital. I was a full time pet sitter and dog walker for over a year, caring for dogs of any breed or size. I have owned Pit Bulls and think they're wonderful dogs, but I'm just a sucker for dogs, period. I love them all.

I am an MFA candidate at Columbia University, but I will be in Norwalk, CT over my winter break (12/12 - 1/18) and would like to 1.) Make a little money and 2.) Get my dog fix (since my NYC apartment and busy schedule prevent me from owning one).

I much prefer overnight care in a client's home because if I'm not there, I'll spend the whole night worrying about the dog, anyway! When I've provided 2/day or 3/day visits to a client's home, I always end up spending much longer than the agreed upon time because I just can't run in and run out in half an hour and feel good about it. So instead, I commit to temporary stays in the client's home, in which I'm required to be with the client's pet for 12 hours a day, including overnight. This package consists of feeding, walking/exercising/playing, a ton of cuddling, scratching behind the ears, and probably saying cute things in a squeaky voice because I can't help it. I will also check your mail and water your (two or three) plants.

Note: My lovely husband, Jean-Paul, would accompany me on these stays, and he loves dogs almost as much as I do, but let's just call him an unpaid volunteer, since most of his time will be spent at his real job, in wine sales.
