I know the basics of how to take care of, and entertain a variety of pets including horses and farm animals,dogs of all breeds, cats, birds, reptiles and amphibians, insects, and fish. I am not scared of any type of animal, nor do I excessively bother them. I understand that while pets such as dogs or cats may like constant attention, they need rest as well. I grew up with snakes, lizards, mice, a scorpion, a tarantula, three dogs, multiple cats, fish, rabbits, and many more animals which I was responsible for taking care of for all or most of the time. My great grandmother had her own farm, which I was largely involved in, and I also spent a whole summer working on a horse farm where I groomed, fed, rode, and trained horses as well as cleaned their stalls and did other farm chores. In high school, I often looked after my neighbors two dogs while they were away on vacations, and they were highly satisfied. I built a relationship with the dogs so that they were comfortable with me, and I made sure to keep them entertained and happy. All that I need to know is your animal’s preferences about playing/ being touched, a feeding/ potty schedule, any important information pertaining to your pet or how you would like the pet to behave in your house (I.e. should I put them in a crate at a certain time, leave the toilet bowl closed, etc.), and a face to face introduction to your pet while you are present to avoid any discomfort or fear from your pet.
