I have over 15 years of animal handling experience, including working as a veterinary technician at multiple small animal practices, as an on-call animal caretaker at a 24/7 animal hospital, as an animal caretaker for the Washington DC Humane Society's Cruelty and Neglect Division, as an Animal Control Officer for the City of Long Beach (field agent, kennel attendant, microchip clinics, adoption and PR events, medical staff, behavioral assessments, grooming, etc), and have volunteered for various animal rescue organizations (D.A.W.G. in Santa Barbara, Friends of Long Beach Animals, Northern New England Dog Rescue, NYC ASPCA). Throughout college I volunteered as a foster home for dogs rescued from NYC and Hartford, CT. I've fostered and helped find permanent homes for over 25 dogs since I started that type of volunteer work in 2005 and once whelped a litter of 4 healthy puppies in my home.
