Hi! I am a Zoologist (herpetologist) and Geologist looking looking for both short term/long term pet sitting work. I prefer overnights and am negotiable according to service needed. I AM CURRENY LOOKING MAINLY FOR OVERNIGHTS IN YOUR HOME OVER THE WINTER MONTHS. All animals included. I am very flexible over the WINTER period.
Daily and overnight care available AND NEGOTIABLE due to each individual situation in the Safety Harbor, Clearwater, Tampa, St. Petersburg, Palm Harbor, Tarpon Springs, Dunedin,Oldsmar, Odessa, Bradenton, and their environs as needed.
As a trained zoologist I have been caring and studying animals in various capacities for many years. I work as an educator, environmental scientist and regulator. Protecting and caring for domestic animals and wildlife is constant in my daily life. I have cared for a wide variety of animals including exotics, reptiles and ferrets. I have a very flexible schedule as I work from home as a biologist. I am available on short notice as well for overnight stays . I will gladly keep an eye on your home as well (bring in mail, newspapers, water plants, etc.) if you are out of town. I am willing adjust rates accordingly and can be negotiated depending on number of days, hours, and distance.
I have an extensive background in field biology doing wetlands and uplands work, GIS, Endangered Species surveys, Environmental Impact Statements and Water Quality work. I worked for the State of Florida in Water Resource Regulation for a few years then worked for a consulting company that did large public infrastructure project like roadways and bridges. The last projects I worked on were the large reservoir for water in Hillsborough County and the Panama Canal Expansion.
I was raised in Florida and love its many great resources. I enjoy reading, running, kayaking and canoeing, camping, biking and fossil-hunting.
