I have been an animal lover my whole life, particularly to my black cat and furbaby Aeden and to great big dogs. Someday, my husband and I would like to own a husky and a great dane, but being just a year out of college and living in an apartment means this won't be in the cards for quite some time!

When I was a child, my family was part of an organization local to my home called Molly's Militia, which worked hard to find mistreated or homeless dogs temporary foster families until they could be adopted by their forever family. We got a new "puppy" (though, of course, they were usually many years old, each new dog felt like a puppy to me and my siblings) about every six months. It was so fulfilling, and I'm incredibly grateful to my parents for allowing us to share some of the responsibility while we were with Molly's Militia. It showed me just how true it is that animals deserve love and respect.

As an adult, I have experience sitting for large dogs. While I was living in Tennessee, I babysat a friend's pit bull/husky mix and an american pointer - both lovable dogs, and very energetic! When my husband and I moved to Florida, I accepted a position as a full-time nanny watching three darling human children, and an eight year old baby - a great dane/black lab mix. For both of these positions, I made sure each puppy was fed in the morning and evening, walked once or twice a day, got baths when they needed them, were loved on excessively, and played with and tuckered out enough to pass out at the end of the day.

I have had puppy fever something fierce recently, but my husband has lovingly reminded me (multiple times) that getting a great dane puppy for our small apartment is just not feasible... I would be happy to love on yours and curb my need to adopt one of my own!
