I am a pet lover! Aren't we all?

During my last career I was nicknamed the dog girl because the owners of the company would all have me watch their dogs... they sometimes even got to go to work with me... bed, toys, and all. I have a VERY well-behaved and friendly non-alpha dog and a cat that loves to curl up in a hiding place and be "lost" for most of the day. I've owned up to three dogs at a time and have quite a bit of experience with medical attention (if needed). Let's just say, my little guy was in love with our vet and would make any excuse to go see her. He was also an adrenaline, adventure boy as a puppy and loved to play with random animals even when they didn't want to play with him.

Our property is 5 acres on a quiet street in Appling and has plenty of run room. We also have a very large, concrete floor barn (with dog beds) that can be used if I need to go run out for a bit. Dogs are allowed in the house and have certain furniture that is ok to be on but we do not allow our dog on the bed (we built a fancy, and expensive, one for the animals!) or on the couch. There are quite a few dog toys to play with and Tucker is good about sharing them. I will feed dogs separately as a rule since that's an area where some dogs are a bit more protective.

I go on a walk or run early morning and sometimes in the evening. Most likely, if we have dog guests, we will spend a lot of time outside. Afterwards, if the woods were part of the adventure, we get some good belly-rubbing time to look for possible ticks. It's rare that I find any but I am cautious about it.

I also have experience giving medicine that is enjoyed and not enjoyed and have a vet tech friend on speed dial for any questions that come up.

At the pet's house: We can walk or run depending on the dog's activity level. I love going to the dog park or play area as well as long as the dog is non-aggressive. If the dog is aggressive, we will stick to outdoor areas with fewer people. I can bring my dog as a playmate or walk solo, whichever is preferred. Taking multiple dogs is not a problem and I have no preference on size or breed. Cuddles and belly rubs are no additional charge.
