I've always loved animals & grew upon a farm where my brother & I were always trying to rescue an injured or abandoned animal. Animals were always a part of my life. I am a firm believer in pet adoption. My husband & I adopted from the Ames Animal Shelter & the Story County Shelter. I have watched family's pets but I know my vet would give us a positive endorsement. Our dog Cheyenne, who's passed, had diabetes for three years & we were giving her shots two times a day. She lost her sight so my husband built her a ramp to get up & down the stairs. Our other dog Rosie couldn't hold her pee so we had to smash up a special pill in her food twice a day. We love our animals & have taken them to Cyclone Kennel Club.
