Ever since I was born I have been surrounded by animals. My grandparents raised and raced greyhounds in the early 60's-70's and then my grandfather went on to open his own kennel and training facility. I stood by him as he raised hunting dogs and turned problem dogs into their full potential. I have never not been around animals! Growing up in the country of Iowa City, I am not scared of any animal or to get a little dirty. I have been around & cared for pigs, cats, dogs, chickens, grouse, turkeys, fish, snakes, rabbits, reptiles and other small rodents. I have 2 dogs of my own as of now along with 3 cats and currently attending Kirkwood Community College for the Vet Tech Program. Living on 10 acres with my parents, I have more than enough room to watch your furry friend over night if needed. (Kennels available along with fenced in running area). Currently in the PreReq courses, I am learning the basics of animal health which has only made me more excited to work in this field. I love animals and understand deeply the responsibilities their lives come with. I am looking to take care and expand my care to all animals while completing my college degree & hope to hear from you!
