Growing up I spent a lot of time at my grandfather‘s vet clinic. At a young age I started training dogs and competed in dog shows. As a young adult I was a dog bather/pre-groomer at Klise Dog Grooming two years.I then went on to become a PetCo certified dog trainer where I taught classes while earning my Bachelors in Biology. I was also a dog bather/pre-groomer at Klise Dog Grooming in Johnston for two years.

While I know lots about dogs, I have a plethora of animal care/health experience. In high school I lived on a farm where I cared for a cow and taught it to walk on a lead. At Iowa State I did an internship on garter snake research. For the internship I took caught wild snakes and recorded various measurements.
