My name in Cindy and I've been providing pet care both in my home as well as the owners for several years now. I am a long time pet lover owning several different species over the years. I have worked in a veterinary office as a receptionist/veterinary assistant and am experienced in administering medications as needed. My home is pet friendly being that it has laminate and vinyl flooring so that all mistakes are no big deal. I have been a foster mom for rescued dogs and even cats. My backyard is not fenced in which has never been a problem for me since I prefer to exercise myself and my dogs with several walks a day. Plus I prefer that the dogs that stay with me are under my supervision while they are outside. I would hate to find that a dog has managed to dig his way under or jump over a fence while I wasn't looking. My children are all grown now, so no worries with dogs interacting with small children here.
My schedule works nicely for pet sitting. I work an overnight schedule just 2- 3 nights a week and always have friday, saturday, and sunday off. When I'm at work (10p - 7a), your dog will be sleeping. On the 3 nights I work, I am up all day until 4pm. so I am available for lots of walks, play and cuddling. If your dog is accustomed to sleeping with you, he/she is more than welcome in my bed for a good nights rest as well.
All in all, I love being around dogs and all animals and getting to know each one's unique personality. After my own pup came back traumatized from a stay at a very popular facility, I realized the need for our little family members to stay in a home similar to what they are accustomed to and decided that I have the ideal situation to fill that need.
In the 2 years I've been providing in home care, I have heard stories about dog sitters taking in several dogs at the same time. For my own sanity and safety as well as your pup's, I prefer to take only one dog in at a time unless they are from the same family. There was one time when I took 2 in but I had already sat for them and knew they would get along fine.
