I have 2 boys ages 10and 13. I was a stay at home mom for my boys. When my youngest began school I began substitute teaching all subjects and grades K-12. I subbed from 2010-2018. We live in the country outside of Macomb and I prefer to petsit at our home due to the time we have put into making it safe, and fun for our own Boxer Lab named Bear! We welcome any interested pet owners to come and visit our little piece of Heaven. I am willing to pick up and or deliver your pet if the distance is reasonable. Please feel free to contact us for more information! My husband, children , and I all have learned pet first aid. I personally was raised on a farm so I have first hand experience with pet and general animal care and what to do in emergencies! My husband and I have both been trained as CPR instructors and emergency medicine as EMT- BD’s. (For humans!) We both worked in the Emergency Department at McDonough District Hospital as well. I have a college degree in Health Sciences/Community Health Education. My husband is a police officer at Western Illinois University. We are an animal loving family! My 13 year old son wants to be an engineer at a zoo creating habitats, and my youngest son who is a brilliant 10 year old, absolutely adores dogs as much as they adore him!!!
* willing to work with owner for pricing under certain circumstances (i.e. an extended care for your pet at my home would not include the daily and overnight rate.)
* If caring for your pet for an extended amount of time/ or daily: I am willing to bathe, trim toenails, and provide medications or other specific care needed- yet I have not professionally groomed before.
* I would require that owner provides the pet’s medical information as well as the veterinarian that cares for your pet’s medical care.
