I am a lifelong animal lover and current pet parent to 3 indoor, older cats. My past pet sitting experience has included home visits to dogs and cats to feed, change water, walk, let dogs out/change litter boxes, and socialize with. In college, I spent 3 years as a member of a volunteer group called Helping Paws that would exercise, socialize, and train rescued dogs at a local animal shelter. I served as secretary of the group for 2 years. I am also able to provide care for more exotic pets: I have 3 years of experience with amphibian husbandry in a scientific research setting, 6 month of reptile (snakes and small lizards) husbandry in a zoo education setting, and 2 months of rodent husbandry as an employee at Petsmart.
