My primary work for the last 20 years has been, and is, with the National Park Service as a Park Ranger. I have worked at 9 different parks throughout the country. I have done a lot of pet sitting, mainly cats, for friends and co-workers at various parks. I have also ranch-sat for 6 months - caring for farm animals and maintaining an irrigation system.
I am also a National Registry EMT-B, and a licensed mental health counselor. I have owned/been owned by cats since the 1960's. I have dealt with a variety of situations/illnesses such as diabetes, cancer, FELV, allergies. Currently I own 5 senior cats - all rescues. I have been involved in the rescue process of cats as well.
CORI and SORI cleared by Medical Reserve Corps/Boston and Cape Cod Units. I updated my pet first aid training by completing a Red Cross Pet First Aid training in 2015. I have had/passed a Department of Justice security clearance in June, 2015. I have also been fingerprinted and vetted by the National Park Service/Office of Personnel Management . Most recently I have been involved in dog sitting - references available upon request. My work experience outside of the National Park Service includes working as a kennel assistant at VCA/South Shore-Weymouth Animal Hospital. I love my animals!!!
