Dogs needs consistent love, excercise and companionship. I am a very caring, patient person, that loves to spend as much time as possible with my own beloved dog, Reeves and have fun together meeting and enjoying all dogs. He came to me as a rescue over 4 year ago. I have trained him by consistent positive reinforcement to be the calm, well behaved 5 year old Chocolate Lab./Vizula mix that enjoys running, exploring, running/playing with other dogs and than just chilling in the house after, I walk/run him out side, rain, snow and cold!  After adopting 5 dogs at different times, I patiently learned by research and hands on training what works. My dogs needed to have adequate excercise, consistency to be calm and Love to be receptive to me. The dog feels safer and you are the alpha. My current dog of just 5 years, I rescued at 10 months, with much nervousness, hence fear. Taking the time to calmly reassure him and be consistent has paid off, he has come a long way to becoming a well adjusted pet.
I have taken in large and small dogs in our home from 1 day and night to 10 days. It has worked nicely, Reeves enjoys all the dogs that have come and adapts to their personality. He shares the coach and even his favorite squeaky toy! No matter the size our guests have loved to take a ride with us to the new path or field of the day. I am in and out during the day, in for hours & when I do go out, not gone for long.
I have walked two large dogs from the same family, for a 1 1/2 years. One of the dogs was a very nervous dog that I shortly won over. I will be happy to provide their email, letter or phone #. Also the other dogs parents contacts can be provided, since they did not go through this service, they are not listed here.
I have worked with the Great New England Rescue and have had a foster dog stay 10 days with us. She was untrained at 2 yrs. old and did not not how to walk on a leash. Gentle lead was a big help and this dog got adopted! I recently have had another dog stay over, please review my referral portion for information on how this care went.

note: I have taken care for Joy the Cat, 4 different weeks, changing litter box, feeding her and playing with her for 1/2 hour, while the owners have been away and will be doing this once again for 16 days in August. Again the reference information is readily available.
