I've never lived without a dog and I don't ever think I will ; they have such gentle souls and they just want to be your best friend. I specifically feel this way about dogs since I was raised with them, but I believe this is the gentle hearted nature that majority of animals have. I think all animals have different personality and each respond better to different kind of care; some need to be outdoors all the time, while others just want to lay around with someone.
