Three times a week for one year I volunteered at an animal shelter. I started walking dogs, then running them. I took the dogs that no one else wanted to walk; the dogs that were full of personality and energy; the dogs that needed it the most. I really loved the work that I did during my time at the Humane Society.

In addition to dogs, I have a lot of experience (through ownership) with cats from birth into old age. I know cats are low maintenance, but I enjoy spending time and playing with them, so they're neither bored or lonely.

I understand the strong relationships that owners have with their pets and how difficult it can be to leave them in someone else's care. I do everything I can to make them comfortable and suit their needs.
