II have always had an enormous amount of love and compassion for animals. Growing up on forty acres with dogs, cats, chickens, cows and a horse gave me first-hand experience regarding the commitment that is needed to care for animals. After studying Biology in college, I became a Veterinary Technician. I found this to be one of the most rewarding careers I have ever had. I also volunteered at Tri State Bird Rescue. Although the experience of helping wild animals is more unpredictable, I felt extremely passionate about being a part of the rescue process and feel that the experience broadened my knowledge as a caregiver.
