As someone who grew up with all kinds of animals in my childhood, I have always loved animals and always felt a connection to them! I currently work as a dog trainer and handler at a dog day care in Scarborough, where I use positive reinforcement towards the dogs, supervise groups of dogs playings and use my knowledge of dog body language. I love my job and would like to expand to pet sitting! As someone who likes to travel and works at a daycare, I know how important pet sitting is and I want to help out! I have two cats of my own, Jelly, a dark brown tiger, and her goofy brother, Abe, a chunky panda cat. When I’m not with animals, you can find me hiking, camping and doing some kind of craft.

I interned at a wildlife rehabilitation center, Misfits Rehab in Auburn, where I cleaned cages, provided meals, helped with medical procedures, provided enrichment and helped organize around the rehab. Cleaning the cage every other day and making sure to provide extra sticks to the blind porcupine, named Captain Underpants who loved to climb to the top despite his disability, was the most rewarding feeling and really inspired me to pursue animal caretaking. I also volunteered at a farm sanctuary where I helped clean, provide meals, provide enrichment, and helped socializing with rescued farm animals. As well, I graduated from University of New England with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Animal Behavior.
