I have had pets my entire life. Cats, Dogs, Iguana, Hamsters and Fish. I currently have 2 dogs and I help take care of my brother-in-laws puppy as he works extended hours. I recently purchased some land and are looking forward to getting chickens and ducks.
I went to Paragon School of Pet Grooming in 2010. I groomed dogs for a few years, but it was causing excessive soreness in my wrists and hands. I have since moved into a different career path and miss working with animals. At the facility where I groomed, we had daycare as well as boarding. I am aware of the warnings signs of uncomfortable / nervous dogs. I know that every animal is different and react differently to different stimuli. I have read a lot of articles and books pertaining to pet care, training and health as it something that interests me. I have also completed Cat and Dog First Aid provided through the American Red Cross.
My "regular work" hours are 8:30 - 5:30, Monday - Friday. I would be able to check in or let dogs out for potty breaks before 8:00 am or after 6:00 depending on location - or anytime Saturday & Sunday. I also have an hour lunch break between 12:00 and 1:00 pm if the location is within a short distance from my work. I am willing to take your dogs for walks and extended bouts of fetch, tug or any other game they may want to play. I can do check ins with cats, turtles, rabbits or any other caged animal that may need supervision during a vacation or business trip.
If there are any activities or animals that I haven't listed specifically, please just ask as I am comfortable with almost species.
