Hello, my name is Ashley Kolstad. I just recently moved here in order for me to go to St. Cloud State University. I lived in Bemidji and that is where I was able to start my dog sitting experience. I have nearly four years experience with dog sitting and absolutely love it. I am currently living with my aunt and uncle and they don't have any pets, so I am missing my own cat and dog at home very much.

I dog sat for two couples in Bemidji. Both of them took long trips. Twice I got to care for their dog for nearly a month. For both of my clients I would stay at their house while they were on vacation. I fed them, took their dogs on walks, I'd water their plants, get their mail, and do other odds and ends. I would do small house keeping, as needed. A few times small home issues would arise; like their garage door would stop working, and so I was able to contact someone in order for it to get fixed. Another time I noticed the dog's paw was bothering her, so I called the owners and explained the situation and asked if I could take their dog in to the vet, they told me to use my own judgement. So I decided to bring in their dog, because I wanted their dog to be as comfortable as possible. I was happy I did, to get a professional's opinion, and thankfully the vet said the dog's paw will heal on it's own, just give it time.
