My family has always had dogs, and I have cared for a variety of different breeds--from a Chihuahua to a German Shepherd/Wolf mix. Unfortunately, my apartment is too small for a pup of my own, but I do have two cats. I've had them for 5 and 3 years, respectively. They are both spoiled rotten.

I also spent a year volunteering as a dog walker at Animal Rescue New Orleans (ARNO), a no-kill cat and dog shelter in the heart of inner-city Louisiana. We took in a lot of feral street dogs that required intensive rehabilitation. I quickly learned the ins and outs of shelter dog care: feeding, cleaning cages, socializing, and, of course, walking. We had breeds of every imaginable shape and size, particularly pit bulls/pit mixes, and I connected with each and every one. When I was little, I had my heart set on being a veterinarian.

Today, instead of a vet, I am an editor for a local children s publishing house. But two things haven t changed: my love for animals and passion for helping others. I am enthusiastic, reliable, and dedicated. No matter the job, I m motivated to do my very best. Helping you and your four-legged family member(s) would be a pleasure and a privilege.

I currently work in Minneapolis from 8:00 AM-2:00 PM. I can walk/feed/spend time with your dog(s) any time after that. However, my work schedule is rather flexible, and it’s possible that alternate hours may be arranged. Finally: I love all breeds equally, but I am rather petite; if your dog is extremely large, I do ask that they be properly leash-trained.
