My name is Holly and I'm 50 years old. I've loved animals since I was a toddler. I trained my first dog at the age of 15 and at 19 was invited to perform on The David Letterman Show.

I studied communications in college but worked as a dog trainer and vet tech assistant. After graduating with a degree in communications, I enrolled in trade school in Lansing MI and became a nationally certified dog groomer. I graduated with the highest honors having scored 100% on each of the eleven required exams. After graduating, I competed nationally and won first place in the master groomers division. I was married in 1992 and continued my work as a pet groomer, dog trainer, dog walker and volunteer for the humane society.

In 1999 my priorities shifted when my husband and I adopted our daughter from Russia. As the mom of a special needs child, I was devoted to her development! Now age 17, Sophia is an absolute doll and a tremendous blessing! While being a mom to my daughter has remained my priority, I couldn't give up my work with animals. So while I wasn't bringing home a paycheck I did continue to volunteer.

While most often found wearing my "Coach" name badge volunteering for Special Olympics, I also continued to volunteer in many different areas of the pet industry. I've served as a foster home to the Carver-Scott Human Society for five years now. I've been a puppy raiser and trainer for working dogs and I've had the honor and privileged of training another dog in search and rescue.

In addition to grooming and training, I'm also fairly well versed in the following areas:

Animal behavior and modification
Canine body language
Feline body language
Pet food nutritional needs
Canine basic first aid
Feline basic first aid
Wild bird rescue, rehab and release
Feline labor and deliver including resuscitation.

As my daughter begins her senior year in HS and proving to be quite self sufficient, I'm redefining my life and asking how I might best serve others. With my love and passion for animals-steadfastly enact, it seems intuitive to reach out to offer my services to others.
