For ten years I have had hands on work with all types of pet at a no kill animal shelter near me. As well as caring for pets at the shelter, I have six dogs and twelve cats of my own. Some of my animals are special needs, which include but are not limited to; blind, deaf, crippled, not able to move limbs, mental retardation, diabetic, special diets, ex police/military service animals and ex healthcare service animal. I have always believed that you can see a persons real character by how they treat animals, children and the elderly. A person that truly cares, will treat your animals like they treat their own.
