I am currently studying Animal Nutrition at Missouri State University with a minor in Equine Studies. I am certified to use K-Laser, a class IV therapeutic laser, and I am certified to care for lab animals through the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI). I have had pets my entire life; I currently have 3 dogs, 6 cats, and 3 frogs. For 8 years, I have been an as-needed pet sitter for two miniature poodles. During the summer of 2013, I volunteered 100 hours at Animal House Fund, an all-cat shelter in downtown St. Louis. Last summer, I was an intern for Paws Awhile Pet Sitting; I helped with client information databases. I have shadowed over 50 hours at veterinary clinics where I observed surgeries and procedures and learned about animal care. For the past two years, I have been involved with the Ozark Empire Fair poultry show; in August 2014, I was the assistant superintendent. I love working with animals and hope to do so throughout my career.
