I spent a year assisting my friend with her dog walking business in Washington, DC and through her I learned to appreciate each animal for their unique personalities. In addition to walking the animals I worked with, I also groomed and fed them, found imaginative ways to keep them entertained while they were on their own, and occasionally took the dogs on wilderness hikes in the country.
