My name's Melissa, and I have been a pet owner for the entirety of my life (22 years), and more importantly, a lover of all animals who has only grown fonder as I've adopted furry friends of my own. For the last 10 years, I have independently and lovingly run a self-employed business of pet sitting. It began with dogs, cats, and rodents, but gradually escalated to animals as large as equines. I am a dog/rat owner and have handling experience, patience, and an enormous heart for animals. There's no better therapy for me than to be around such selfless creatures, and to ensure that they are well loved and cared for while their owners are away is such a privilege for me.

In addition to my self-employment and ongoing passion for animals, I have 6 years of experience volunteering on and off at a humane society in Eastern NC. Animals are an integral part of my life, and I'm excited to further that passion.
