I have not been an official pet sitter for someone else, but have had dogs and cats all my life. I have had pets from puppy stage to adult and the same with cats. They had been treated as one of the family. Also took care of my Uncle's dog when he would go away. that consisted of not only sitting with him, but walking. bathing, and administering medicine when needed.
Have taken care of family pets while they were on vacation.
