For the past 15 years, I have been a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, working with people with disabilities and special needs. I have always had pets of my own-my entire life. Being single, with no children...these pets were/are my babies.
As a therapist, I enjoyed training animals for pet therapy. I believe that our pets are not possessions, but family members.
