I don't know how it happened but I somehow found myself watching more and more animals for people while they traveled. I started out just watching my boss' dog and sister's cat and then word spread that I was always willing to help out. Once I realized that I was "the dog lady," I decided to embrace the title and market myself as a caretaker for animals. I have quite a few people that I house/dog/cat sit for now. I am comfortable with all sizes and thoroughly enjoy my time with each and every one of them.

I always like to tell the owners that I grew up going to a private school and sought out a non-profit college in order to maintain and uphold my morals. I currently work-full time at the college I received my MEd from and I teach part-time as well. I always tell my students that respect is the biggest thing with me. I have watched many animals and houses and all of the owners have commented about how respectful I am. If I am coming into your home, I am going to leave your home exactly how it was when you left...or cleaner. I want people to feel comfortable enough that if they leave their animal in my care, that they can truly relax while they are away. Morals and values are what I live by.
