Hi! I am Betsy. I have an entire lifetime of experience with my own pets from hamsters, a free roaming lop eared rabbit, to cats and dogs.

They have needs! And all too often we don't have enough available time to address the most important need of all, exercise. I have decades of experience of long hikes with my canine companions.
Wooded trails where they could explore and truly work out all of their energy through a positive experience leaving them feeling fulfilled and balanced.

I had spent my 20's and 30's hiking in the Catskills of NY. It was practically in my backyard. I love being outside among the trees. The peace is unparalleled. I almost never do it without a dog (or a few) at my side.

I love to watch them stop, investigate, follow and search for the source of an intriguing scent. The joy they get from it unmistakable.

The dog in them really comes out. There are not the "little human" companion we often see when we look at them. They are dogs in that moment. They are doing what comes naturally and they love every moment.

When I see my buddy Elmer (Labrador next door neighbor) he is bubbling over with excitement because he knows an adventure is a short car ride away. We spend up to 4 hours wandering, smelling, watching, admiring and enjoying every moment of the breeze, chipmunks chattering, squirrels rustling and deer traversing the woods like the experts they are.

If you are having behavioral issues with your dog and I would suggest a true exercise regimen. It is a need when unattended often comes out destructively or causes chaos in the household. Without proper structure and exercise many dogs become nervous/anxious and they will show you those feelings through behaviors that are unwanted.

Dogs are pack animals by nature. They require a socialization. They require structure. They require Exercise, Disciple and Affection. In that order and equally distributed. Consistency is key!
