To Whom It Concerns,
I have, over my life time had my share of animals. As a child when I asked my Mother if I could have an animal, she would usually say yes but the limit on dogs was three. The reason being ---- one, we had the room and two, she never had to remind me or tell me to feed or clean the litter box. I loved my animals and I was committed to them even as a child. There were four of us kids and we never fought over who had to feed or let the dog in/out. If we saw there was something needed, we owned it. Although the other three kids were out of the house already, I decided I wanted a calf to raise. As usual my Mother said yes. This was quite a feat as the calves were only days old. That meant that they had to be bottle feed. Over time I raised three calves. It was a pain sometimes for a teenager to get up early to bottle feed, but I did it. Throughout my adult life, I helped my husband run a cattle business, my son learn to rodeo, and took care of my 3 birds, pot belly pig the chickens/ducks and the horses, dogs and other inside things like sea monkeys & hamsters. I even raised a wild bird that fell out of the nest (with no feathers) my daughter picked up off the ground to keep the other kids from poking it with a stick. It survived. But however, I don’t like reptiles of any kind.
Now that I am older, forced to retire early due to a layoff, I am looking for work to help subsidize my income. I was house sitting for people in my office but with everyone laid off they all moved to other states to find work. I live in NW Rio Rancho, NM and would like to work in Rio Rancho if possible. I am willing to work the NE Heights and up along Paseo Del Norte and south to Montgomery and in Corrales. Of course we can talk about other locations. I will not stay in a bad part of town (including RR). No SW or SE ABQ areas.
I am willing to stay in someone’s home at night after I get off from work. I will go straight from work to their house as if I lived there. So the animals will have to be alone during the day. The people I sat for were all ok with this as it mirrored their life. So it all worked out. If they don’t live to far from me, I can go check on their pets around 11 am if they prefer an additional pet check/potty break.
I am very trust worthy not only with the care of pets but also their home. I can be depended on to carry out my duties.
