For fifteen years, I have had pets. My first experience was with my dog Zipper. I was taught by my dad how to train dogs, and until earlier this year I was one of the three people responsible for him. A few years later we adopted my second dog, Milo, who despite being seven years old had minimal training. He was far harder to train than Zipper, after all, it's hard to train an old dog who was chronically anxious. We have also had a leopard gecko, hamsters, guinea pigs, and most recently a cat. Despite lacking formal training, I have learned through fifteen years of experience.
