My name is Chase Quintana and I am recent graduate from Florida State University. I earned my degree in Finance but have had a passion for helping people for some time now.
I was born in Miami, Florida and lived at home most of my life with my mom, dad, brother, and pets. In elementary school i was chosen to be a peer mediator to my class mates whenever there were minor disputes. Thats the first time i learned how to handle situations involving people. I alsowent to a YMCA sleep away camp for most of my adolescent life and, as i got older, became a Leader in Training, Counselor in Training and eventually a Counselor.
As a Camp Counselor for a YMCA sleep away camp(Camp Wewa) I learned how to handle various situations from running events, to dealing with temper-mental children, to teaching kids sports, life lessons, and everything in between. I also learned how to enjoy a happy moment an how to learn from bad ones.
During my high school tenure, I initially cared more about athletics, with aspirations to become a multi sport varsity athlete like my older brother. Things we're going great until i became very sick with Crohns Disease.
Crohns disease changed many things in my life from my diet, to my way of life, to even my friendships. After various stints in the hospital taking tons of medication, I finally felt healthy again. This was short lived. After suffering a minor bone bruise on my hip, my hip went septic and i spent my birthday month in the hospital.
After leaving the hospital i strived to live my best life. I had to give up school sports but i still played with friends. I got in the best shape of my life, became an officer in multiple clubs in the school(Key club, National honor society, Spanish club, NTHS) and coached an underdog little league baseball team to earn 3rd place in a league of 12 baller teams.
I eventually joined my brother at FSU and began focusing on my professional career. I studied finance and computer science and made loads of friends and experiences. College made me realize i that i didn't want a desk job at a bank.I wanted to be my own boss.
I am currently working to make money to fund my own startup in the most ideal way, working with DOGS!
