Fern S. Pet Care Provider in Ridgewood, NY 11385

My name is Fern Schlesinger and I love animals. I've loved animals since I was a kid, but sadly never had a pet and of any kind due to my dad's allergies, which thankfully I didn't inherit. I don't prefer dogs or cats over the other. I love them both the same as well as turtles, bunnies, birds, hamsters and guinea pigs.

A few summers ago for a few months, I looked after a friend's elderly cat who's name was Cheeto overnight during that time. I LOVED taking care of her! She loved it when I held her, gave her attention whether it was petting her or brushing her, and she would always sleep on one of my bags or made herself comfortable on my bed when she wanted to sleep. She was such a sweet cat and I still miss her.

When I lived in CA a couple years ago before I came back to NY, every so often during that year, I walked my cousins dogs. It was fun walking the dogs, all I think were small mutts, and at the same time I had to pull a little harder on the leash because the dogs kept wanting to go back to the house because one of my cousins is a dog magnet. I'm not kidding about that, wherever she goes, dogs follow or watch over her. But I did walk the dogs anyway, since I loved them, no matter how annoying they got and regardless, it was still a lot of fun!

I still hope to pet sit animals, especially dogs and cats and I'd love to work as a dog walker as well. I also don't mind working as a live-in pet sitter.

I'm hoping one day to have pets of my own, specifically and Shiba Inu (which is a particular dog breed with fox features) and a black cat.
